A Leader of true stature: Hon. Mwaura M. Isaac is now a Doctor.

It has been a journey that a true warrior was conferred with yet another honor. Hon. Mwaura M. Isaac CBS received an honorary Doctor of Philosophy in humanities (Honoris Causa), from UGCI-USA for his contribution to society in serving the marginalized and minorities in Kenya. This comes months later just after the President of Kenya, H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta awarded him Chief of Burning spear, first class honors.
This adds to his two diplomas in Theological Education (PUEA), an MA in Social and Public Policy (University of Leeds-UK), MA in Development Studies (Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University- RSA) and a Bachelor’s Degree (KU).
He joins a team of leaders in Kenya and globally who have been honored for contributing in various areas in the society from the same College. Among them include:
• H.E. Olusegun Obasanjo, Former president of Nigeria
• H.E. President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and H.E Janet Museveni.
• H.E. Joachim Chisano, Former President of Mozambique and current chairman of Former African President Association.
• H.E. President Wolde Glorgis of Ethiopia, honored for his peace initiatives
• H.E. Maria Guebunza, First Lady Mozambique
• H.E. Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka of Kenya who was honored for his major role in bringing peace in Sudan, Somali,Burudi and many other countries.
• H.E. Dr. Ben Shelly, president of NavajoNation, honored for outstanding support and his work as an advocate for America’s first people, the Navajo, America Indian Tribes popularly known as Red Indians.
• Hon. Kenneth Marende, the speaker of Kenya Parliament, a neutral leader who was hnoured for making Solomonic Rulings in parliament.
• Hon. Dr. Beth Mugo- former Minister for Public Health and current Senator.
• H.E. Margaret Kenyatta Former Nairobi Mayor & Kenya’s to the UNEP
• Archbishop Prof.Arthur Kitonga, the Founder of Redeemed Gospel Church and Vice President of Evangelicals in Africa.
• Prof. Nathan Kahara, current President of Former Mayors International, Ambassador for Peace and the former Nairobi Mayor is also President of Golden Rule International & peace makers International.
• Hon. Dr. Charlse Rubia a National Hero honored for his service to the Nation as First Mayor of Nairobi who was also a Cabinet Minister & President of Red Cross.
• Dr.Manu Chandaria is a renowned Industrialist and Philanthropist.
• Hon. Dr. Grace Onyango is the first lady Mayor of Kisumu and an Elected MP in Independent Kenya.
• Dr.Kanak Sing Babla- Goodwill ambassador and Honorary Patron of the Kanubhai Babla Lions Eye Bank.
• Dr.S.P. Amin – Former Director of Lions Club International.
• Dr.Manoj Shah- Chairman of MP Shah Hospital and Vice Chair, Lions Sight First Eye Hospital.
• Dr.H.Dawda- Vice President Golden Rule International, Chairman Universal Peace Federation and Chairman of Manji Biscuits
Speaking during the Ceremony, Hon. Dr. Mwaura M. Isaac said, “I truly thank God for this distinction and my special gratitude goes to my wife Mukami R. Mwaura my mum, TeamMwaura, Albinism Society of Kenya (ASK) , parliamentary staff and all who work so tirelessly to help me make my contribution in serving humanity selflessly. May our dear Lord richly bless you abundantly.”
His team of more than 20 employees rejoiced with their boss and they were glad he received his honor. “We are happy and proud that finally they are people who have decided to honor our leader for what he does, we have worked with him tirelessly and we are always happy to see faces of the Marginalized group smile.” Said Epantus Munywira, Personal Assistant to Hon. As John C. Maxwell once said, a leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way; Hon. Mwaura M. Isaac is one of the rare leaders that have lead by actions. He is the type of leader that will drive the democratic agenda through common action. He is vying for a seat in Ruiru Consistency as a Member of Parliament.
